Stephen and Sterling Clark amassed two of the most important art collections of the twentieth century, greatly developing America's taste for Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and early modern painting.

Giovanni Boldini: Some of his works (some portraits and scene of Parisian street life) are really unique and gorgeous. You right the way can recognise his painting. Colour pallets are clean. But in most it likes exhibition of beautiful, lovely dresses and luxury design from fashion magazines. Fabulous but without human personality – just generic.

Giovanni Boldini (December 31, 1842 – July 11, 1931) was an Italian genre and portrait painter, belonging to the Parisian school. According to a 1933 article in Time magazine, he was known as the "Master of Swish" because of his flowing style of painting.
