Research & Collections Facility, Canadian Museum of Nature

We went today to OPEN HOUURAL HERITAGE BUILDING
SE Research & Collections Facility,
Canadian Museum of Nature NAT
1740 PINK ROAD, GATINEAU
As part of the Canadian Museum of Nature’s ongoing Earth Month celebrations, don’t miss this rare behind-the-scenes look at our collections building with more than 10 million specimens, from microscopic parasites to large dinosaur skulls. Collections experts and researchers will be on hand to answer your questions.
Incredible collection of mammals, fishes, shells, insects, and rocks. Examples: Facilities have 1000 wolf species and 2000 polar bear species. Great collections of deep-water fishes. We spoke with a lot of professionals who answered most of our questions and helped identify some specimens that we brought with us. Dr. Martel was incredibly helpful.
Plus it was perfectly organized!!
